transfer winxp from c drive to d drive
my c drive only has 250 gigs on it. my edit system is on c drive and i want to move it over to d drive(i have 500 gigs on d) but i am told i need an os to allow my editting to work. i want to put my win xp on d drive but do not know how to. i do not want to crash my system so i am asking the pros how to do. thank you ahead of time for helping me out.1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi,radiodogIf i understood you correctly you want to move your xp from C drive to D Drive.But it is not recommended to move XP files as you configured your operating system on C Drive. It might create some errors. Instead you can resize your C Drive.As you mentioned you have 500 gigs on D, you can utilize that space on to C Drive. There are so many third party softwares which will do this.We recommend you EASUES Partition Manager. It is a freeversion. Also it is very easy to use.Please Click on the below link:http://www.partition-tool.com/In this please select HOME EDITION (Free ware) and install it on to your system. If your not interested in this all you can do is Uninstall your EDIT SOFTWARE and reinstall it on D Drive.Regards,PCS365

You cannot move your o/s to another drive.Assuming your 'edit system' is a program, uninstall it, reboot the PC, then custom reinstall it to your D drive
