is it possible to have too much virtual memory ? i have plenty of space on my hard drive but can having too much virtual memory hurt my performance or can it only help it?I think that after a certain point, assigning more than a certain amount won't make a difference. The ideal setting for virtual memory is about 150% of your PC's total RAM. Once you do that, you can play around with the paging file size until you get the best performance.
