the %25 uauage of IPv6 on Window 7
I am expericing IPV6 on window, and confused with the field after IPv6 address. when I ping the device, I use IPV6 follow with %11 or not, both works. 11 is the sscopeID of mocal link interface When I put IP address in RUL on IE, with or without %11 also ok. But sometime window 7 auto insert %25 after IPv6 address. Why is that. When the %25 should be used? Thank you.

Hi, Based on my research, the “%25” just means the network interface for the network adapter. It is not a valid character for IP addresses. For more information about IPv6 and the percentage symbol, please refer to the link below: IPv6 address Note: The third-party product discussed here is manufactured by a company that is independent of Microsoft.
