Use Sysinternals Autoruns to find all references to rundll32.exe. Research each one and determine which setting is responsible for the behavior you experience. Or, selectively disable them one at a time to attempt to determine which entry is involved. Then, leave that one unchecked and re-check the other entries that reference rundll32.exe. You could also try using a clean boot technique to determine what autostart entry may be involved.
