system restore won't run
I tried to use a norton ghost backup disk(H) a while ago by putting into slot 0 for the boot disk. It didn't work as the norton disk is not meant to boot, but to just serve as a file backup source. So I put my C disc back into slot 0. I looked at restore today and it was saying my H drive was the master boot disc even though I put it back into the second slot. My C drive has been working well, but I can't run restore. I disconnected the H drive. I get this from restore after running chkdsk: An exception occurred while trying to run "C:\windows\system32\shell32.dll, control_rundll "C:\windows\system32\sysdm.cpl", system". When I tried to run restore from the start menu, I got the message "system restore is not able to protect your computer, restart, run restore again."1 person needs an answerI do too

ok so I hooked up H again(disc 1) and find the restore partition D is on the front of this drive when I look under DIsk management.(this was my old C: drive with a dedicated restore section, D:) Disk management does not call this the system drive, it calls C(disc 0): system, which is true. so I need help moving restore to my new C: drive, 500GB. What is odd is the fact that I could use restore before I tried the plugging in of H as disc 0 while testing norton ghost.
