speech recognition error on windows 7 professional 64-bit
Speech Recognition errorI am using: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit OS with Engilish - US as the default language. AMD Athlon 64 processor 3200+ (2.00 GHz) with 2.00 GB of RAM. 80 GB hard drive with 20GB free space as the main drive. When I switch to English - UK my SR works, but not with US settings. It works fine for the tutorial & setup but gives me the "language configuration not supported" error every time I try to use it.Have checked Control Panel/Speech Recognition/Advanced speech options and shut off "Review documents".Have changed to another language then restarted then changed back and restarted but that didn't work either.

Do you recall when you first started to see these messages? Would System Restore be an option? Do you recall any changes to the system liked installed software? You can try the following suggestions to troubleshoot your issue:Change Region and Lanuage settings ===================1. Click the Start Button, type "region and language" (without quotation marks) in the start search bar and then press enter.2. In the location tab, change the location to United Kingdom.3. In Administrative tab, click "change system locale", change the setting to "English(United Kingdom)".4. Restart the computer.Chagne Advanced Speech Options=========================Choose Microsoft Speech Recongizer 8.0for Windows (English-UK) under language. Then test again.Good luck! John

Please check if the following suggestions can resolve the issue: 1. Open Control Panel then Speech Recognition Options. 2. On the left pane, click Advanced Speech Options. 3. Remove the checkmark next to, "Allow computer to review your documents". 4. Click Apply. If the above does not work, go back to Speech Recognition Options and click "Train your computer to better understand you" and see if you are able to Train. If the issue persists: 1. Change the locale to a different one from what you have set. 2. Then reboot your system. 3. Next, change it back to your preferred locale. 4. Now, see if the problem has been resolved. Hope this helps. Regards, Linda
