some web pages won
Hi, just installes Win7 build 7000 over a Vista. Removed the IE8 there, as suggested.Have trouble, with a few web pages to open. IE8 is trying to load them a couple of times then fails and get information, that the page cannot be displayed. No problems to open those pages with firefox.Any solution?

Hi Pe747, I don't think it is possible to remove IE8 from Windows 7. But if you removed IE8 from Vista before upgrading, then ignore this statement. Can you give us some specific webpages that you couldn't load on Win7's IE8? Also I would like to highlight that IE8 in Win7 is quite buggy, and there's a lot of issues. I would suggest that you wait for the RC build of Win7 and post back if you are still having issues with IE8. Hope this helps.Jabez Gan [MVP] - http://www.msblog.org Contributing Author for: (Sybex) MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration Study Guide: Exam 70-643

Have the same problem. thepeerhub.com will not load in IE8, Firefox 3, or the new google Chrome, while using Windows 7, but will load on another pc running XP.

Can you try loading the page with compatibility view? Open the page using IE, and click on the compatibility view icon. See here for more information on the compatibility view.Jabez Gan [MVP] - http://www.msblog.org Contributing Author for: (Sybex) MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration Study Guide: Exam 70-643

Ok tried that, but still no luck. Changed settings to run all websites in compatibility view, and still the same result. Also get the same problem occasionally with facebook.

Hi MsMissy, thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunatly this doesn't help in my case. So I still don't know what is blocking IE for connecting me to those two web addresses.

Installed Win 7 RC1. Now no more problems displaying above mentioned web pages. Everything works great except for NIS2009. But that is another story/thread.
