slow logging off/ shutting down
Hi,I was wondering if anyone else noticed this, when i click shutdown it takes a good min or two for anything to happen ( no response what so ever not even a flicker) than when it does go through the process of shutting down it takes quite a while to logoff. after logging off to shutting down its pretty quick though.P.s I manually close everything that I have open to avoid the force shutdown screen and same problem really slow reaction

Well I have looked at alot of forums about this and the Shutdown problem is becuse of the type of motherbord you have the was more then one when the RC came out but now if you have Acus then you have a problem becuase Windows 7 will not shutdown qwick it can take to 48 hours to 10 mins it can be between thoses once you first use Windows 7 with Asus you will not have that problem but you will do by the time of 1 month, somtimes it may shutdown but start back up my computer is always doing that! There is an update coming out soon I hope to fix this as I also Asus Many Thanks Richard

My 32 bit 'Zoostorm' Desktop [came with Vista-Installed] gives me this headache; but my 'Toshiba' 17" laptop Windows 7 pre installed--- upgraded to ULTIMATE ok! no problems at all: 'Computer' still shows Vista as Main-drive in the BOX and refuses to recognise other drives just installed! First I had to buy ULIMATE 'TWICE' as Microsoft popped up with a Balloon---Counterfeit--- supplied by Amazon UK; I have had no 'Refund' on the first!--- I have invested a few thousand $'s or &'s from my first days with DOS---Makes me want to switch to APPLE MAC! Not easy for a 'Pensioner' Cannot afford any boffins apart fom myself! Hope this helps others with this 'Ache' WESCOW W M DONALDSON

For everyone with slow shutdown times, follow my guide [1] to make a shutdown trace and compress the shutdown_BASE+CSWITCH+DRIVERS+POWER_1.etl as 7z or RAR and upload it to your Skydrive [2] and post the link here. I take a look at the trace, maybe I see what's wrong with your Windows. regards André [1] http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=140247 [2] http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02db-4665-993a-08d865088d65"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
