size not shown for selected files
When I select a file or more it doesn't show the size, only the date modified. Is there a problem or it's not implemented, or can I modify this. I would like to see the size of the selected files.

if I select more than 15 files or a directory it says "show more details" and when I click on it... nothing happens, or it shows Date modified...

Hi Remus, This should be by design. I suggest you select the files, right click on them and check the file size in properties. Over time the number of files stored in various folders has substantially grown and the enumeration of those folders as a common procedure would be costly to performance. In this way,the computerswith different hardware configurations have enough resource to run other programs. Thanks for your understanding. Arthur Li - MSFT

Why? Simple, because Im not stupid. Any Athlon XP 1ghz+ Ive used until this day can (using windows xp, of course) calculate the size of selected or even NON selected files in a millisecound. Starting with Windows Vista, and now with Windows 7, this feature is removed, and MS keep claiming its by "performance" reason. Ok, so, the Quad Core, with 8GB of Ram and SSD drive I can use today and can generate, lets say, dozens of 3D frames per second in a very heavy 3d game... CAN NOT calculate the sum of sizes of a bunch of files? Ok, sure I will believe this. Thanks. Maybe its time to stop making new computers and go back to using old ones. They were computeres back then, and they USED to know how to calculate.

I think that it would be nice to include a option, so users can still use this feature (if this really slows dows the system, than anyone can disable it)
