I have a small network with Windows-7 computers and one running Windows-8.
How can I remotely shutdown the Windows-8 computer ?
I am used to run cmd: shutdown /s /m \\<computername>
even when I right click cmd and Run as administrator, my Windows-7 computers
gets access denied (5)
All computers have the same Username and password, including administrator.
I enabled the policy to prevent 'Force Shutdown From A Remote Machine'. in SECPOL on the Windows-8 machine.
How can that be solved ? without setting up a RDP session.

thanks Chris, Niki,
My account is in the admin group but could not access \\<WIN-8 computer>\C$
using "administrator" did the trick.
