shared printer won't print
I have a shared printer on my desktop computer which has windows 7 The printer works fine printing from my laptop which has windows vista. I installed the shared printer on my wifes laptop which has windows 7 and it installed fine but will not print test
page or anything. I deleted it and reinstalled several times and still nothing.
How come it works on my laptop and not hers?

Is your wife trying to get to it via a homegroup? You can't do that.
Change it to do a workgroup.

alternatively, try to plug the printer to your wife's Windows 7 and test the printing job directly, this method can check the driver whether corrupted or not.a245ac8356cd89088a3a0e0536223c20 56cd89088a3a0e05 c093d70f088499c3a837cae00c042f14

Hi,
What is the model of your printer?
I would like to suggest you follow the following article to configure the printer sharing:
Networking
home computers running different versions of Windows
If it does not work, you may also try the following steps to share the printer:
1. Click
Start, search for Add a printer and press
Enter.
3. Choose
Add a local printer and click on Create a new port.
4. Select
Local Port and click
Next.
5. Type in the
\\computer name\printer name for the Port name and click
OK.
Example: If the computer you wish to connect to is named ComputerA and the printer is called PrinterA then the path would be
\\ComputerA\PrinterA
Does it work?
