Hi bongo1980,Try the below steps:Step 1: Make sure ‘Windows Media Player Network Sharing’ service is started.a. Click o Start, then click on ‘Run’.b. Type Services.msc in the run box.c. On the Services window, look for the ‘Windows Media Player Network Sharing’ service and make sure the service is started.d. Click on Apply.e. Click on Ok.Step 2: Put the computer in a clean boot state and check if the issue persists.a. Putting your system in clean boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.b. Refer the following Microsoft KB article for more information on how to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in XP:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Note: After troubleshooting, make sure to put the computer to start as usual as mentioned under the section 'Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state' in the above KB article. You tried to set up your Xbox 360 console as a Media Center Extender, but the Setup program did not start:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916180While attempting to use your Xbox 360 console as a Media Center Extender, you are unable to connect to your computer:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911115Regards, Manasa P – Microsoft Support.
