share folder
In windows xp pro and windows 7, when I first login to a share folder, it asks for user and password. After that, it never asks again on subsequent login. How to configure windows os to always ask for user and password when login to a share folder? Or any third party tool that can do that? Thanks

Hi, When accessing the share folder, there is a “Remember password” option under the User name and password box. Please uncheck the option. Also, please configure the following settings on Windows 7. a. Click Start and open Control Panel. b. Open "Network and Sharing Center" and click "Advanced sharing settings". c. Expand the current network profile (such as "Home or Work"), and then select the following options: "Turn on Network Discovery", "Turn on file and printer sharing", "Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folders", "Turn on password protected sharing" Regarding the settings on Windows XP, please refer to the following article: How to disable simple file sharing and how to set permissions on a shared folder in Windows XP Thanks, Novak
