set up a PPTP VPN server
Has anyone figured out how to create an incoming connection for a PPTP VPN server? I know in XP and Vista it was a piece of cake, like 10 clicks. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it in Windows 7. I can create a connection to a VPN, but I cannot create my own VPN server to recieve incoming connections.Any help would be appreciated!

Many people using this solution however, this type of setup does not allow client computer to share the internet connection with the VPN server, when the client connect to the host so-called VPN server, the clients system no longer has the browsing capability. Can anyone tell me how can you setup a "real" VPN server that allow the client share the vpn server's internet connection? Just like some commercial paid version that you can use their VPN service as VPN Proxy-like.Microsoft MVP

I am not sure I understand the problem. But let me try it. You can check "Use default gateway on Remote Network" on the VPN client to access via the VPN connection. However, for security reason, some companies may disable this feature.
