security update for microsoft office 2007
i don't have MS office on my machine, but whenever i scan for update, i will get "security update for microsoft office 2007" message all the time! -why it keep offer me the update for something i have never had it on my system? -do i need to install the questionable update? (i have never install it.) -what can i do to stop it from keep asking me about the update? thank you in advance for any future help.

You may well have the Word, Powerpointor Excel viewer installed. If so, that is the reason for the download.

Hi, Installing the update for Microsoft Office 2007 components can improve the security, performance and stability. It is not recommended to disable the Microsoft Update. If you still want to stop the Security Updates for Microsoft Office 2007, you may perform the following steps. 1. Launch Windows Update. 2. Click Change settings. 3.
