screen flashes when playing microsoft games
My microsoft games have started flashing and I can not play them because when it flashes then anything you have clicked on doesn't work at that point. After wards you can click quickly before the next flash & it will work until the next flash.

I have upgraded the graphics driver with no effect on problem. I don't think the clean boot will help since it is microsoft games that are on the windows disk. Specifically the free cell, solitaire and spider solitaire and Tai Pai games.

Hi, Did the other applications lead to this issue also? If not, we may uninstall and reinstall these games from Windows Features. 1. Click Start, type in appwiz.cpl and press Enter. 2. Click Turn Windows features on or off in the left panel. 3. Uncheck all items under Games and click OK. 4. Reboot the system. 5. Repeat the steps 1 and 2. 6. Select the items under Games which you want to install. 7. Click OK and reboot the system.Kim Zhou TechNet Community Support

I was hoping this would work, but it hasn't. This first started a couple months ago when I was having other wierd things happening. My Firewall got turned off and I was unable to do a windows update. I thought I had a virus, so ran numerous online and offline tests with anti virus and malware programs. They were all clean. I finally did a clean re-install of windows. At first the games started to work right, but after only a couple wks this started again. I don't play anything but these games and one other that I downloaded which is Desktop Tai Pai by lena games. These games never have done this, only the microsoft ones, and they all do it. I sure wish I could find a solution because they are my favorites. I have tried finding other solitaire or free cell games, but don't like any others.

Hi, First of all, please update your Graphic card driver from the provider website. Secondary, please test the issue in Clean Boot environment. Thirdly, check the games compatibility with Windows 7. Test the issue by launching it in Compatibility mode. If the issue persists, please contact to the special support team. http://support.microsoft.com/gp/games-for-windowsKim Zhou TechNet Community Support

I was having the same or similar problem. Here's a video of what mine was doing: http://tinypic.com/usermedia.php?uo=xDroBU9Q%2BPQ1EuhDa8XuA4h4l5k2TGxc And here's the thread I started in the Answers forum with the solution I found: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-gaming/cards-are-flashing-in-microsoft-games/6885ffb4-e2bc-4774-8c85-bf45f9df789d Your hardware setup may not be the same as mine, but may be close enough for you to use this info. I hope it helps :-) -- SC Tom

I have tried this and it found no problem files. I have done everything that anyone suggested. Guess I will have to live with it. Thanks for taking the time to write anyway.

I haven't even tried this since I had just done a clean install about a wk before this started again. That was one of the reasons i did the clean install, because nothing else had worked.
