well, i thought it was good to go. last boot it did it again. i had to log into everything again. but my bad. its cookies, i guess, that are being dumped. and its not set to delete history and pages are set to check for new pages automatically. the cache is set to 50.so in a nutshell i'm logged in with a cookie on a website and upon reboot i have to log in to everything again. like i didn't have a cookie set to log me in when i went to the page. live login as well.so next boot ill check to see if the cookies are still in the cache and go from their.

Hi, I agree. It can be a cookies issue. If you could trust the cookies from that website, click Start, in the Start Search box type inetcpl.cpl and press Enter. Click on the Privacy tab, drag the slide to set it to Medium. Click the Sites button. Then enter the address of the website and click Allow. If the issue persists, the root cause can be the website server that delete cookies automatically after if you use IE8 beta. Arthur Xie - MSFT

ill give that a go. its better though this way. looking through the cache, i dont see near the ____ i used to see. i would use ccleaner in the past to purge all cookies except the ones i want to save. it looks like ie does it now on exit or reboot. as for having to add the ones i want saved in ie is better than doing it with another program. keep up the good work MS.

My question is sort of related, if I don't want to use internet options, where are the cookies actually located now?I just want to find one particular cookie
