save file to public desktop
I'm trying to save a file to the public desktop in C:\users\public\public desktop so that all users have access to it. I'm on an administrator account, but every time I go to save the file, I get an "access denied" message telling me that I need to be an administrator to save to the folder. I'm using windows 7 enterprise. EDIT: I'm wondering: I'm downloading files off of Internet Explorer. Could it be that IE is being treated as a User program, and thus not being given administrator permissions? Because I know that Win7 designates programs run by the administrator as either User programs (as in, with limited permissions) and Administrator programs (with full permissions).

So it turns out I was right. I did "Run as Administrator" on internet explorer, and it worked just fine. On a side note, I'm not sure this is in the right forum.
