runtime error '-2147418105 (80010007)'
Not sure this is the correct forum. Please redirect me if there is a better one. A windows 7 computer has an application talking to a database on a remote server. When the system is idle for more than about 10 minutes, it gets the following error message: runtime error '-2147418105 (80010007)'. Can anyone give me a clue what's happening and how to fix it? Windows XP computers in the same office, running the same application, do not have this problem. This computer did not have this problem before it was upgraded to Windows 7. The Win 7 machine is a stand alone system (no AD). It is fully patched. I don't see any options for keeping a network connection alive. Is there such a thing? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, I think that maybe the application which you are using is too old to run in the Windows 7. Please try the Compatibility Mode for a test. It seems that the issue is not caused by the network. You may also try the Clean Boot to determine whether the 3rd application cause this issue.
