runtime error
Hey everyone,
I am using Win 7 Pro and am trying to get my HP Printer to install. I have had this software installed previously but now when I try to run the setup file I get the Runtime Error saying that "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate
it in an unusual way." Program C:\Users\Chad\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS084D\Setup.exe
First I cleaned out the temp directory then grabbed a new installer from HP's website, to no avail. I also tried the "clean boot" suggestion someone else has posted, also with no luck. Another thing I have tried is to reinstall the Runtime Distritutable.
I am really stumped at this point and any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advanced.

Have you tried running the installer with elevated privileges?
Just being the Administrator is not enough. Right click on the Setup program in Explorer and choose
Run As Administrator.
Hope this helps.

If I was not the administrator, then the installer would not have executed, according to that logic. Again, I have run this installer with my current credentials before. However, in a desperate attempt to get this working, I have tried running this with
the 'Run as Admin' and I get the same error unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Solved. I ran an HP uninstaller, ran the install again, and off it went. Thanks for the reply.
