runas /netonly stopped working
I regularly use the runas /netonly command to allow a program on a non-domain PC to access a SQL database over a VPN to an SBS 2008 server. Shortly before Christmas the NIC in the PC died, and I had to replace it. Next time I tried to run the
program it failed to connect to the database, and hasn't since. I have tried from another PC with the same result.
I had been using the .cmd file to run the "runas" for at least 18 months with no problem, so whist it might be co-incidence I am inclined to think there is some setting I am missing for the NIC - of course I can't see what the settings were for
the old one now, and have run out of ideas. The server is running WINS, and I have a WINS server entry on the NIC, but not a DNS entry. I tried putting a DNS entry in but it appeared to make no difference. The original PC was Win 7 Pro 32
bit, I have also tried from a new 64 bit Win7 Pro.
I am quite prepared to admit that I might be doing something stupid, but I really can't think what. For the sake of completeness, I can't find anything in the event viewer logs on either the PC or the server, and I am sure that the username and password
are correct<g> I have also tried disabling the firewall and antivirus on the PC.

runas /netonly /user:domain\user "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Small Business\Office Accounting 2009\SBA.exe /c c:\xxx.sbc"
I have also tried
runas /netonly /user:username@fullyqualifieddomainname "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Small Business\Office Accounting 2009\SBA.exe /c c:\xxx.sbc"
but I would emphasize this command had been working unchanged for a considerable length of time
