rename user account question
Hello. If we rename a user account in Vista, does all user data etc stay as it was all that actually happens is the login name is changed and nothing else ? Thanks

It's like renaming a folder, you can rename it, even move it, but unless you manually delete the folder or contents, nothing will go away. It's the same for the User Accounts. If you just change the name, the contents, games, folders, music, etc will still be there. But if you have more then one user on your computer I'd advise you to protect your account with a password. I had little cousins who "helped" me delete a lot of music and I learned my lesson well :) Hope this helps!
