You can disable Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player by way of the Control Panel - 1.) Launch the Control Panel - View Large Icons in the upper right.2.) Select Programs and Features.3.) Click on "Turn Windows Features On or Off" (acknowledge the UAC prompt if applicable)4.) Click the + symbol next to the 6th item down called "Media Features" 5.) Uncheck the WMP and WMC items and click OK.
