No way of knowing without knowing how your network is set up. Do you run a DNS server? Do you run WINS? What other machines are on the network?
Hi,
Did you join the Domain?
I suggest you check your DNS,DHCP server and router for any old records, and then delete any old records for the old name.
Meanwhile, please use the following command to update your PC name on the network
1. Press WIN+R, then it will prompt RUN dialog.
2. type "cmd", and press Enter.
3.On the CMD,type ipconfig /flushdns to purge the DNS resolver cache.
Then, type ipconfig /release to reelease the IP address for the specified adapter.
Next, type ipconfig /renew to renew the IP address for the specified adapter.
