remote desktop will not connect. win 7 pro
Team I'm using a vista pro os computer and remote desktop to connect to my computer at work which is now on win 7pro. we have be successful in the past with vists to vista machines, we only changed the one computer to win 7 and we can't connect. The server and the firewall settings have not been changed , may this be the problem ? Here's what I have done so far: 1. Allowed connections from computers running any version. 2 Selected users --- " Everyone ". 3.firewall setting: enabled Remote desktop with: domain, Home/work and Public all checked on. 4. Confirmed inbound rules in Advanced security for Remote Desktop. 5. Reg edit the Tcp port number to :3390 what should I try next ?

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Ensure the port 3390 is available. 2. Check if you can ping the computers with each other with computer name and IP Address. 3. Please adjust the following setting of the computer which you establish the RDP connection to: 1) Open System Properties. 2) In the Remote tab, select the following option: Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop I addition, I would like to share the following with you for your reference: Why can’t I connect using Remote Desktop Connection?
