regain disk space after a non destructive system recovery in windows xp
I have windows xp home edition and had to do a non destructive system recovery and now my c: drive (main drive) is at only 38% when I have basically nothing installed on that drive. I'm guessing it's because there are old files still there from before the recovery and I don't know how to find and let alone delete them. I have updated my computer fully after the recovery. I have service pack 3 and all the new updates installed. How do I regain this disk space back? Any help is appreciated. Thank You!1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi Jill62281,As you have performed Non-Destructive Recovery, your previous operating system, the application and data everything will be still there.Check the C Drive for any previous installation of Windows XP. Back-up the data if required and then delete that installation of XP.Regards,Manasa P – Microsoft Support.
