I can not restore my comp it is enabled and on but I get "your computer cannot be restored to:. I have done the following: chkdsk /f, all sorts of malware, spyware and virus checks. I still have a redirecting malware in the system and IE8 takes forever to load.In the future, please be more specific about what you did. "All sorts of malware, spyware, and virus checks" is much too vague.Follow these Thinkpoint removal steps: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-thinkpointWith respect to your System Restore issue, the error message Error: "SYSTEM RESTORE Restoration Incomplete Your Computer cannot be restored"indicates Restore Point corruption, which can be caused by the malware currently infecting your computer or a variety of other causes, including some versions of Norton security applications. Seehttp://bertk.mvps.org/html/error.html#5If following the directions at bleeping computer gets rid of Thinkpoint, follow with a scan using freeSUPERAntiSpyware . I also suggest deleting all of your current System Restore points after the system is cleaned. See:http://bertk.mvps.org/html/disablesr.html When you re-enable System Restore, make sure to use the "Settings" button to (a) disable SR on all non-system drives (http://bertk.mvps.org/html/drivedisable.html ) and (b) reduce the space used by SR on your system drive to around 1 GB.
