re: file permissions
Hi, I recently saved some pictures from my old computer to a WD external drive. I didnt realise at first that I had 'read only' permissions set on the folder contents. The file contents is written in 'green' and I am unable to open the pictures on my new laptop. It says 'you do not have permission to access the file location'. I have tried to change permissions and taking ownership but it is still not allowing me access. Can anyone help? They are all my pictures of my kids going back 5 years and I have deleted the originals off the computer. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers Amanda

Hello, The file contents is written in 'green' I think that you used EFS encryption. Hope you have not re-installed your old computer. If not re-installed then use it to decrypt these files.
