purpose of Windows folder in profile.
I noticed when installing applications that process monitor will look for the dll files in C:\users\administator\windows instead of the regular windows folder where it should be located at. I was wondering what the purpose of puting a windows folder in the profile was. The dll in question was msxml3r.dll

Nor in any of my user accounts in Ultimate x86. I don't ahve that DLL file anywhere either, for that matter.I'd be highly suspect of that situation. First, can you actually explore that folder, or is process monitor just listing it? Maybe the process monitor app you're using has a bug and is reporting %userprofile% as part of the string.
