Hi,

I have 2 Sharepoint web applications I wish to publish via TMG.

Both are on port 80 with different host headers.

One application needs no authentication (anonymous) and the other requires ntlm authentication

via a html form and uses SSL

The web app that uses SSL and html authentication publishes and works fine.

I cannot however publish the other web application that is to be published via http and have anonymous access as i cannot reuse the same listener. 

When i try to create a new web listener and then create a new web publishing rule for it I get the message

ERROR message:  A Web listener specifying the same port and similar IP addresses is already used by rule

The port and IP addresses specified in a Web listener cannot overlap with the IP addresses and ports specified in another Web listener already used in a different rule.

I would appreciate any ideas to solve this.

One approach i have considered is moving one of  the applications to a different port

You should use another ip address or another port with the same ip address to publish the application.

So If I were to add another ip address to the nic card on my tmg box and have two web listeners  each mapped to different ip addresses this would allow me to avoid the duplicate ip issue when publishing the sharepoint applications?

i have done this and adding a new ip to the tmg nic card and then using separate ips for each listener this has allowed

me to publish 2 web apps both on port 80 with different authentication mechanisms one web app ssl and  forms auth and one app http only

Guys I have a similar scenario, we are a using 2 diff publishing rules on ISA for EAS & OWA with same URL (email.xyz.com) & same IP and same port (Basically using same listener for both rules). But we need 2 factor authentication for OWA and not for EAS. Is it possible to publish these 2 sites with same listeners and diff authentication methods??
