I have had a issue as of late with my windows7 home premium At times (several times a day) my programs goes into pause mode ( u see "the ring" as windws waits for something and program may grey out) videos stop games freeses. and it lasts for 30-60 seconds and then starts again and if video was watched it skips Error event says "A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Windows Error Reporting Service service to connect"

Hi there, a few questions: All programs on the screen or just a few? Always the same programs or random ones? What are the specs of your system (hardware)? Beside the questions, try a clean boot (see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135) and follow the steps there to find the problematic service/process (assuming it's because of a third party service/process). I've also read that the steam updater seems to generate this issue as well (don't know if it applies to you though) and few people have said that by changing the Windows Error Reporting Service to Automatic they solved the same problem, but for reference, in my system the service is as Manual and doesn't give me any troubles.
