progam files x86, windows 7, printing
I recently switched to a computer with Windows 7 (64bit). I now have two program files. Some programs are in a Program Files x86. That is normal - do not alter or delete either folder. The "Program Files x86" folder appears if you have Windows 64 bit, and it is for 32 bit programs. 64 bit programs are installed to the Program Files folder. When you install a program it will automatically select the correct folder. I have a HP Deskjet D2560 printer. I have not found a printer driver that will work with these programs. Have you installed HP Deskjet D2560 drivers from HP? Some progs/hardware makers have you do both, as well as, they SHOULD have them available. Just be a little patient and read EVERYTHING on the HP drivers(for your model) page. Good Huntin' Horatio ps Don't be afraid to call their support numbers and talk with a "live" tech, thats why they're paid...;-)

No That printer will work but it may need to be installed in compatibility mode. To install an older driver in win 7 you need to install it in compatibility mode.To install in compatibility mode right click the installer, go to properties, then compatibility. Choose the appropriate OShttp://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/316-compatibility-mode.html?ltr=C
