problems to access web pages over WLAN in Windows 7
Hi I have Sony Vaio with (German) Windows 7 Pro as my working computer. I have continous problems to access Internet over WLAN for example at home or in public areas (sometimes). At home it works fine over LAN cable (like now), but when I try to use WLAN, the web browser does not access any pages. Interestingly Skype and Outlook seems to have connection but browsers not (IE, Firefox). When I plug a cable, it starts to work immediately. I do NOT have any single probem with my personal Mac or iPhone, so I seriously blame Windows (and myself why I chose it instead of Mac). What could be the reason for this, and what I could do?

Hi, Thanks for the post! Did you set any proxy server for the browser? For IE, click Tools – Internet Options – Connections – LAN settings, please check the box “Automatically detect settings” Now check if the IE works.
