problem with wireless conection via Siemens Gigaset USB Stick 108 (=USB flash drive)
Hi Guys!Ive a problem with with my wlan flash drive. i got a siemens gigaset usb stick 108 (its a german name and i dont know how to translate it correctly, but "usb stick" means "USB flash drive"). the problem is that i havent got any drivers. well, i have some, but they only work on windows XP. not even on vista.and i dont finde any drivers or updates on the internet, because i think my its too old. i already bought it years ago and so you find hardly any tools for it.does anybody knows, if theres a possibility get this thing working by useing windows 7? or do i have to by a wlan card or something?thx masterchief

Have you tried installing the drivers in compatibility mode, choosing Windows XP? That may allow the XP drivers to install correctly.

Are you installing the drivers using a normal user account and supplying the administrator password when prompted or are you logged in as a user with administrator rights? The reason I ask is I have run across a couple of times where I would have to be logged in using the administrator account (not as a user with admin rights or as a normal user supplying admin password) to successfully install software. A good example was when I installed UltraVNC. I tried installing with a normal user account and when prompted supplying the admin password, it would install to the point of asking for the password to use for remote connection. I tried installing it again as a normal user using the Run As Administrator option. Still would not install correctly. Finally, I logged in as administrator and it did successfully complete the install and is working just fine. Another example was MS Office 2003. After installing everytime I would open Outlook or Word I would be prompted to accept the EULA agreement. Again, logged in as administrator and accepted the EULA and have not been prompted (as a normal user) since. My point is, if you haven't tried it already, log in as Administrator and try installing the drivers again. You may have to use compatibility mode as well.Otherwise, I am out of ideas at the moment. Other than buying a new wifi card with Vista driver support.Good luck!
