problem with vista webdav wrapper (smb redirector (ms-webdav-miniredir (mrxsmb)) when adressed by letter
When dav-disc is addressed (and mounted) with letter (whether https://<server>/<virdir> or http://<server>@SSL/<virdir>), the area can be browsed by explorer og cmd windows, but when opening (ex word) you get the message "could not open http://SSL/<dir>", nothing happens. The same message comes when opening the document from explorer-window, but the documentopens though). When saving nothing the same message andwhen 'save as' I get 'There has been a network or filepermission error. Thye network connection may be lost'. When adressed as a 'network place', like in XP, there is not problemsusing 'open','save' or save as'. I believe its a filelocking conflickt between Vista's and applications that have their own webdav wrappers (for Office that is Microsoft Data Access Internet Publishing Provider Protocol Discovery, I think this pretty much turns down to Msdaipp.dll, which, again, I think is the 'web folders' are using). Ihave tried the webfolders overbuild (KB907306) with no luck (concerning dav-disc mounted with letter). With wordpad t.ex everything works fine. I guess it does not have an webdav-wrapper on it is own and that i sthe reason. TheIIS 6 serving the webdav-directories are not running sharepoint (and everything works nicely from t.ex XP and OS X). Is this a known problem? Is there a known fix?

Much as I hate me too responses "Me Too". The wrinkle is that Word gives the Error but opens the requested document anyway, Excel gives the Error and doesn't.
