problem with lltp
I have new Vista laptop and an oldXP laptop in a workgroup. The XP machine doesn'tshow up when trying to view computers from the Vista computer. When I look at the network properties on the XP, I don't see the following are all installed and enabled:Novell Client for Windows (To connect to a remote domain)Client for Microsoft NetworksFile & Print sharingQoSAEGIS (IEEE 802.1x)TCP/IPWhen I try downloading and installing LLTP for XP, I'm told that the download is older than current installed version. But when I look under client, Service and Protocols to install, i can't find LLTP. While I thought it would be a protocol, the closest I see is Service Advertising Protocol as a service. What should I do to get Vista to see the XP machine, so they can share files?

Unfortunately, the posted version of LLTD Responder isn't compatible with SP3.Options available to you:1-http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/922120, click 'view and request hotfix downloads' in the top-left corner of the page, and you'll be able to download an SP3-compatible version.2- X3lectric has a workaround in this thread.
