Hi Nitefran, I would like to suggest you make sure the network cables are good and update the network card driver for Windows 7 first. If the issue persists, you may try to assign the IP address of the host computer to your client computer as the Default Gateway. Whats the result? Hi Try to set both Network cards to stay awake. Look for the setting in the cards configuration properties, and the Advanced Power Options. However No matter what, if your have a broadband conncetion you are nuch better off with a Router. Jack (MS, MVP-Networking).JackMDS
