printer and driver problem - HP & VISTA
I have a packard bell that runs Vista Home Premium 32bit. I installed a HP4600n colour laser and it was printing perfectly. Suddenly it started printing 1 line of "gibberish" continously on every page a did not stop until I switched off the printer. I decided to delete the printer and uninstall the drivers. Following suggestions (from this and other sites) to uninstall the drivers using MMC and MSC and print management - I cannot seem to find these on my system. Any ideas on how I can reinstall drivers (currently the system accepts the printer but cannot print anything, even the gibberish) or how do I install this printer. Thanks

Hi, Right click Computer in the start menua nd select 'Manage' in the pop up menu. In computer management select 'Device manager'. In the device manager find your printer, right click it and select the Properties option. In the properties window select the 'Driver' tab and select 'Uninstall' to uninstall the driver and allow it to complete. Now unplug you printer and insert the disk that came with your computer and follow the installation instruction and only plug the printer back in when instructed to to so.
