And the same Service Pack (SP2 or SP3)Then Start/Run and type insfc /scannow (there is a space before /)OK System File Check should runIt will not give you a report at the end, you will just have to check if the problem has been fixed. If you cannot get a CD, do you have a folder on the hard drive called i386 Or, if you have a Recovery CD, explore it and look if you can find the folder i386 .
