I have 2 PCs, both are Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit. CompA can ping CompB, but CompB cannot ping CompA. A is 192.168.1.103, gateway 192.168.1.1. B is 192.168.1.104, gateway 192.168.1.1. Both can access the internet with no issues. I disabled the Windows Firewall on both PCs, but that did not make any difference. Any ideas? tia, Bill

It is Norton Antivirus 2010. It is installed on both PCs, but from different CDs. Disabling it on the PC that I could not ping to solved the problem. It works now. It may have been turning off 'silent mode', but I am not sure.
