p.c wont connect to internet: wire or wireless
hi.. i am in process of rejuvenating an older medion lap top..initially the h/d died.. so it was put up some months ago.. more recently i have brought a new h/d and fitted all ok.. installed a basic xp home service pack 2..i knew i had lost basic system drivers..so after some searching i found compatable driver pack for : sound ,bios internet(wireless and ethernet) and graphics..etc.. i installed from a disc as reiceved and followed instructions, and all drivers installed correctly..so all is working apart from internet...all shows to be working ok but no connection. wire conn shows as unlugged.. and wireless finds no conn avail..when both are trusted working services..and work fine with other p.c's..i have checked all known internet settings..and all ok..any assistance with this would be greatly appreciateted.. many thanks deano..
