original settings for all services in windows XP
my system restore function is not working and all that i need to do is fix the settings for all the services in windows XP home edition. i changed some of them awhile ago and now i am getting errors due to the fact that some are incorrect - such as where it should be NETWORK, or SYSTEM, local system with desktop access, etc how or where can i find a list of what the settings ought to be? i promise i will never mess with them ever again if somebody would please help me! system restore still freezes even when i uncheck the box on Norton Security Suite "norton tamper protection" and although i have asked for help with that in a different forum thread, nobody ever responded. thanks in advance, anyone and everyone. 1 person needs an answerI do too

If you want all of the original Microsoft services running then click Startmenu/run type msconfig. Go to the services tab. Make sure the hide microsoft services is UNchecked, click enable all. Then click hide microsoft services then disable all. Now all Microsoft services will be back to normal once you click apply and reboot. (depending on what you mean by changed them before)"There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand binary, and those that don't." [_1337_Pete_]
