Windows is behaving exactly as it should. By design, the built-in Administrator account in XP Pro/Media Center is hidden when you create a second user account with administrative privileges. This is because you're not really supposed to be using the built-in Administrator for your daily work. Unfortunately, many people do. Since you were using the Administrator account, you might as well continue to use it.
