Please try to Disable the Automatic Restating By : 1- Click Start -> Run 2- Enter “gpedit.msc” 3- Go to Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update 4- Double-click on “No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Update installation” 5- Enable it! 6- Reboot the computer Regards,MCP | MCTS | MCITP

Thanks for your reply but the problem is that even after installing a fresh copy of windows 7, the system is restarting again. Is it anything related with the computer hardware.vishal [URL=http://www.vcq.biz/ ]beautiful wallpapers[/URL], [URL=http://www.utorrent.name/ ]utorrent[/URL]

Does it happen when you boot into safe mode? If not, try the Clean Boot diagnostic procedure. Jerry

Possible bad RAM. Remove one stick at a time and see if it boots.

Since you mentioned this problem persisted even after installing a 'fresh copy' of Windows 7, as pizza_man pointed out, it may be Memory issue.
