on start up I get 0x7c91b21a referenced memory at 0x000000.10. Memory could not be written. Press ok to terminate or cancel to de-bug.
This has started soon after I lost my proper way to sign on to the p.c. and also my log-off has changed completely.

Hi sgriffinflyfisher,Try the below steps:Step 1: Put the computer in a clean boot state and check if the issue persists.a. Putting your system in clean boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.b. Refer the following Microsoft KB article for more information on how to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in XP:How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state?http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Note: After troubleshooting, make sure to put the computer to start as usual as mentioned under the section 'Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state' in the above KB article.Step 2: If the issue still persists, you may check in Event Viewer for the faulty device/module that could be causing the issue. How to view and manage event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP?http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427Regards,Manasa P – Microsoft Support.

Here is a popular remedy for that situation:It appears the latest update for Windows Media Player may be contributing to this problem when the system has the Windows Driver Foundation enabled and running. Unless you are using the Windows Driver Foundation Service, you should disable it.Click Start, Run and in the box enter:services.mscClick OK to launch the Services AppletLocate the Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework service, right click the service, select Properties and choose Disabled and OK your way out of the Services Applet saving the adjustments.Restart your system (the WDF service is now disabled) and check your failure condition now.If you still have issues, then do this:Please provide additional information about your system:What is your system make and model? What is your XP Version and Service Pack?Describe your current antivirus and anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc.Does the afflicted system have a working CD/DVD drive?Do you have a genuine bootable XP installation CD (this is not the same as any Recovery CDs that came with your system)? Do, or do not. There is no try.I need YOUR votes and points for helpful replies and Propose as Answers. I am saving up for a pony!
