offline login fails more often than not
I have a windows 7 enterprise laptop. More times than not, when logging in while offline, it fails to find the profile (Windows cannot access \\domain.com\users\joe\Desktop error 80070035 The network path was not found), and I end up with a desktop with no icons. However sometimes it seems to work ok. I can login, get my regular desktop, etc. Where do I start to troubleshoot this?

Hi, Please check whether you have enabled a group policy named Delete cached copies of roaming profiles in GPO. This policy will delete cached profile every time when users log off so that the roaming profile cannot be detected if offline. You may reset all the policies under Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\User Profiles, then test again. No, I do not have that policy enabled. The only settings I can see related to offline files are to set the default cache size for offline files to 5000 (i.e. 50% of disk space).

Hi, Have you enabled Offline files for this user? Please check whether you can access \\domain.com\users\joe\Desktop after offline login. If you cannot, please recreate a new roaming profile and enable Offline files on that profile parent folder. Juke Chou TechNet Community Support
