nothing shows on computer endless searching animations windows 7
Sometimes on my many windows 7 pcs when I goto computer or network nothing shows up and the side has the endless magnifying glasses searching, I can still access a network or drive by typing in the location or drive letter, logging out sometimes fixes this, but mainly have to restart the pc, any ideas?? this a windows 7 bug? Extend Details: 1. What particular item are you looking for when you open Computer? A - anything 2. Are you connected to a domain Network ? A - no 3. Are you able to see the drives of the Local Machine that you have logged on to when you open the Computer window? A - I dont see anything! However I still can access them by putting in the location in the address bar. 4. How many computers are connected to the network that you are trying to view? A - 2 at the moment, and 1 windows home server

If i understood your question you are trying to discover other devices on your network. Network discovery requires that the DNS Client, Function Discovery Resource Publication, SSDP Discovery, and UPnP Device Host services are started, that network discovery is allowed to communicate through Windows Firewall, and that other firewalls are not interfering with network discovery.

Hi, Also, make sure the Network Discovery is enabled in Network and Sharing center. This need to be enabled on every end points you want them to appear in Network view.
