Have you tried running the setup file in Windows XP compatbility mode? This might fix the problem for UAC incompatible applications. Besides that you normally do not need to install the DivX codec on Windows 7, it is included in the OS.

Right click the install file and select "Run as administrator".

HelloI had same problems when i tried to install some MSI files. My PC is member of a Domain and my user account is in the local Administrators group. But to solve that i had to right click the MSI Installer with Shift and Say Run as... then i pick the local User account created at startup, this helped.Maybe it will also help on your case...Just use the same account there as you are already logged in.Give me a feedback if this is working.BTW. I just installed now the divx player and it worked perfectly without problems.Did you also installed the google toolbar?Or which version of divx do you try to install?Regards:Dani
