not able to open Computer management
Hi, I am a member of domain admin group. I am not able to open disk management of remote XP machine from windows 7 machine.All are added to server 2003 domain. Do i need to do anything? Thanks, Rajesh

Hi, can you tell me what’s the wrong message when you open disk management? It seems the problem with your authority on Windows XP. Please try to locally log on the XP machine with his domain admin account and see if he can open the Disk Management. Try adding the domain admin account to the local admin group and try to run “diskmgmt.msc” as administrator to check if you can open disk management. Hi, From Windows 7 machine I opened compmgmt.msc and I clicked connect to remote computer where I have given XP machines host name. when i click on Storage-->disk management it is throwing error could not start Virtual disk service on XP machine. where in XP such service is not there.
