not a valid win 32 application, problem with optical drive, too slow or not working at all!
Hi,have a desktop mounted computer, which means every part is from different manufacturer.I have problems with my optical drive, it is always running slow and its gets stuck when I just put the cd while it loads, and once I open it in windows explorer it gets stuck again for a while, and doesnt let me click on anything in that cd. and when i do it anyway it takes a long time before it process the click and then a window pops up with the error: d:...is not a valid win32 application! i thought it was something to do with the DMA and PIO modes ( I still do) but I have only a primary IDE and the HDD is the master and dvd drive is on slave, and both on DMA IF AVAILABLE MODE and both running under it.Its been like this since I put the computer together really I just dont use the cd drive that often. but now i really need it, thats why I need to fix it!my optical drive is LITE-ON DVDRWLH-18A1Hand my motherboard is the Conroexfire esata2 thank you for your help in advance1 person needs an answerI do too

Replace the optical drive with a known-working one to test. Make sure you jumper it correctly if IDE.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
